Look at the end of your front axle. A lever you flip open is a quick release. A thick axle you unscrew and pull out is a thru-axle. Your fork's spec sheet will list the size, for example "12 × 100 mm". Suspension forks are usually 15 × 110 mm (Boost).

Look at where the rotor meets the hub. Six small bolts in a circle means 6-bolt. A single splined ring in the middle means Center Lock. Either rotor can be swapped later with an adapter if needed.

Building a new wheel? 28 or 32 suits most riders; 36 for heavy touring loads.
